It is with great pleasure we announce the Virginia Council on the Educational Opportunity for Military Children has approved Chantilly High School as a recipient of the SY 2024-2025 Purple Star Award. This award designation is valid for a period of three school years beginning with this school year 2024-2025.

Chantilly Faculty and Staff have an opportunity to taste a little "French culture" with the help of AP French students as their teachers in February, March, and April.

February is National Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month - a public awareness campaign that takes place each February to celebrate the value of CTE and the achievements and accomplishments of CTE programs across the country. 92% of high school students are part of a CTE program which integrates academics with a rigorous and relevant curriculum. There are 16 CTE career clusters and over 79+ career pathways. CTE is good for students, good for businesses and good for communities.

Dulles Airport welcomes students from the CHS STEP program to participate in the Annual Tree Trimming.

Digital Citizenship Week is a great time for school communities to start, renew, or double down on their commitment to engage students in learning important digital citizenship concepts and skills so they become safe, ethical and responsible citizens. FCPS has materials to support families on our Digital Citizenship website, including a course to help guide a conversation between parents and teens. Please consider bringing Digital Citizenship home this week.

Our cadets participate in project planning (events for the year), setting goals for the year, and learning how to command different flag ceremonies, in this case Reveille and Retreat.

Petting baby elephants and learning how they can coexist with humans. That’s a highlight of this summer’s break for Frances Coffey, an AP Human Geography teacher at Chantilly High School.

Chantilly High School’s first Wellness Fair was held on May 24, 2023.

Using only cardboard and duct tape, 26 students from West Potomac and Chantilly High Schools engineered boats and embarked on Lake Barcroft to see who could not only stay afloat, but also win a race.

Korean Cultural Night performance at Lees Corner ES. The evening included both traditional and modern performances and highlights of Korean culture. It was a fantastic evening!

On May 4, 2023 Chantilly High School hosted George Mason University, UndocuMason.

Our Chantilly Pyramid showcased the rich learning and student engagement that supports our Portrait of a Graduate attributes in our Chantilly Pyramid! There was a teacher/student panel as well as a main showcase of learning.
