The process for obtaining school transcripts

Transcript Office Location

The transcript office is located in the Student Services office, adjacent to Subschool 3.

Transcript Office Hours

Tuesday      | 7:45am - 3:20pm

Wednesday | 7:45am - 3:20pm

Thursday     | 7:45am - 12:00pm

Transcript Request Deadline Dates & Fees

Transcripts must be requested about 30 days before the college application deadline. Seniors should refer to the Transcript Request form for specific dates and deadlines. 

When it comes to requesting a transcript, please keep the following information in mind:

  • Transcript forms can always be downloaded from the Document Library in Naviance. (Students can access Naviance Student via FCPS 24-7/Blackboard online: This form must be signed by both you and a parent/guardian and submitted before any records can be released to a college, employer or scholarship organization.

  • The first three college transcripts are free.  No postage is required. For every transcript after three, there is a $5 charge per transcript payable in advance.  Transcripts will NOT be sent until the fee is paid.

  • Transcript Form for Current Students

ACT/SAT Score Requests

It is the student’s responsibility to have all test scores sent directly to each college.  Visit the websites below to have your scores sent.

Letters of Recommendation

Seniors: If you need a counselor recommendation, the Counselor Recommendation Packet is due by mid-September. This form is available electronically through your Naviance Student account under the Document Library.

Other Current Students: If you need a counselor recommendation letter for a summer program or scholarship, contact your counselor for a recommendation form.

Post-Graduate Transcript Requests

Recent graduates (within the last 5 years) may request a transcript by completing and submitting this form and payment of $5 per transcript to the transcript office.

Student records are kept at Chantilly High School for 5 years. To obtain records more than 5 years ago, please contact FCPS by following the procedures linked below.
