Welcome Mr. Winfrey

Zachary Winfrey is the newest member of the Administration team. 

He has been named as an Assistant Principal at Chantilly HS, and will be serving students in Sub School 2. 

Mr. Winfrey has taught art at the middle and high school level for the last 10 years. He earned a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Degree from James Madison University in Painting and Drawing with a minor in Art Education. He went on to complete a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He began his teaching career at Hampton High School in his hometown of Hampton, Virginia. He spent two years teaching at Grafton Middle and Grafton High School in York County, Virginia, before coming to Chantilly High School, and served as the Head Wrestling Coach at Grafton High School and Chantilly High School.  

This will be Mr. Winfrey's 8th year at Chantilly High School.  Since August of 2015, Mr. Winfrey has worked closely with Chantilly’s administrative team serving as Interim Assistant Principal during the 2017-2018 school year. He was also an Administrative Intern for Fairfax County’s Institute for the Arts, Tech Adventure Camp, and STEAM Camp at Lake Braddock Secondary during the summer of 2016.
