National Concert Band Festival
Before Spring Break, your Chantilly Symphonic Winds traveled to Indianapolis for the National Concert Band Festival. Performing as 1 of 29 high school bands selected nationwide, your Chargers delivered a STUNNING performance to open the festival at Butler University! Their concert was described as a performance whose “clarity and timbre were absolutely fantastic,” and lauded by attendees and evaluators as “Incredible,” “WONDERFUL,” and “Straight up FIRE!” Their performance can be viewed here.
Beyond the music, the students of Symphonic Winds represented CHS with an exemplary spirit, pride, and class throughout the course of the festival. They enjoyed opportunities to interact with 3,000+ student musicians through concert attendance and social activities. They enthusiastically engaged in clinics and workshops with professional musicians and music educators from across the nation. They worked together and supported each other in terrific fashion throughout the course of the festival and our travels.
Congratulations to the students of Symphonic Winds on their impressive performance and representation of the Chantilly community on this national stage! Members of this ensemble include:
