Cultural Night at Chantilly HS

For the first time in three years, Chantilly High School was once again able to celebrate its wide and immensely diverse student population.  Throughout the night our very own Chantilly students presented their appreciation toward their culture through performative dances, songs, and a special improv performance from the Muslim Student Association.  The evening included tables representing various cultures and countries with samples of food, art, and informative displays. Many students dressed in their respective traditional cultural clothing.    The auditorium was filled with applause, cheer, and excitement from students, family, and community members.

Director of Student Services, Mrs. Parmentier enjoyed her time at Cultural Night.  “ I absolutely loved seeing how excited the students were to showcase their culture’s food, dress, music, and dance.  Although we all “live” together here at Chantilly every day and thus, know what a diverse school we are, it is still so special to devote time to learning more about each other and our stories- it only makes our community stronger.”

Principal, Dr. Goodloe described the night as a huge success.  “ It was wonderful to talk with our students and their families and share their joy as they showcased their cultures.  There was so much positive energy in the building.  I was especially impressed with how supportive the students were of one another throughout the performances.”
