Congratulations to Anne Fenton on being recognized as the July/August 2019 FCPS Cares Recipient of the Month for Region 5 by the Department of Human Resources. Congratulations, Ms. Fenton!

Below is the write up submitted by Ms. Stacy Mitchell, an FCPS colleague of Ms. Fenton.

Ms. Fenton went above and beyond for me this summer. I previously worked in the same building with Ms. Fenton at CHS about a year and a half ago but never had the pleasure of working directly with her. We would simply say hello in the hallway, eventually learned each other's names, and briefly talked about our daughters. This school year, I found out I will be teaching in a new subject area and reached out to Ms. Fenton during the summer via email because I knew she taught science. I wasn't even sure which one. She emailed me back within minutes and took time out of her day to me at a coffee shop the following Monday. She gave me a USB with all of her course materials for the course I will be teaching. In addition, she offered continued support throughout the school year and we exchanged numbers. I have worked in FCPS for fifteen years and this is by far one of the kindest things a colleague has done. There are teachers in this county who truly care about one another and support each other. Ms. Fenton is one of these people and I am grateful for her. Thank you, Ms. Fenton.
