The science fair captures all of the portrait of a graduate skills throughout the process.  For many students this project was started on the first day of school.  There have been tears, fights, smiles and aha moments along the way.  Conducting independent research projects is critical thinking at its best.  Students must be thoughtful in their project design reducing the amount of variability, increasing validity and mastering time management.

This year we have 580 students working on 375 projects, in the following categories Animal Sciences, Behavioral and Social Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry,

Earth and Environmental Sciences, Energy: Chemical, Energy: Physical, Engineering Mechanics, Environmental Engineering, Materials Science, Physics and Astronomy, Mathematics, Plant Sciences, Biomedical and Health Sciences, Translational Medical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Cellular & Molecular Biology, Embedded Systems, Robotics & Intelligent Machines, Systems Software, Microbiology, and Computational Biology & Bioinformatics.

We have judges join us from all different professional areas to donate their time to support developing scientists. With collaboration with the Chantilly Academy Culinary class, they provide dinner for all the judges and teachers. The Chantilly PTSA graciously donates money to offset some of meal costs.
