Excellence in Career & Technical Education

As a dynamic learning environment, Chantilly Governor’s STEM Academy’s mission is to offer high-value specialized college and career-oriented electives specifically in the area of high-demand STEM fields to include Engineering and Scientific Technology, Health and Human Services, and other technical programs.  Students gain professional experience, verified credit, professional licensure, industry certifications, internships, and earn college credits through dual enrollment agreements with James Madison University, Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), Shenandoah University, and articulated credits with George Mason University – Volgenau School of Engineering. Classroom-based entrepreneurial businesses provide services to our school community and general public.  Business and community partners, Academy administration, Academy faculty and staff, and FCPS CTE leadership, all equally recognize the importance of their efforts to assure that graduates are prepared for a successful entrance in to postsecondary education or to the workplace.  The Chantilly Governor’s STEM Academy is the largest of six FCPS high school academies and is an embedded part-day magnet academy for student enrollment from nineteen schools in the FCPS division.
