On Wednesday, October 10, 2018, all students in grades 9, 10 and 11 will take a mandatory standardized test during a four-hour morning session at Chantilly High School. Ninth (9th) grade students will take the PSAT 8/9. Tenth (10th) and eleventh (11th) grade students will take the PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test). The cost of testing will be funded by the county for all ninth (9th) and tenth (10th) grade students.
Eleventh (11th) grade students are required to pay $20.00 for their test if they wish to receive test score results and be considered by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Students who do NOT pay are still expected to take the test. Students who may be eligible for a fee waiver should consult their counselor. The test fee will be paid online using www.MySchoolBucks.com. All payments are due no later than Tuesday, October 9, 2018.
Results will be distributed electronically by CollegeBoard with an access code emailed in January.
