CTE Month Feature - Business and Information Technology & FBLA
Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. (FBLA-PBL), a key feature of our Business and Information Technology courses, is the largest career student business organization in the world. Each year, FBLA-PBL helps over 230,000 members prepare for careers in business. FBLA-PBL inspires and prepares students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences. FBLA-PBL’s programs focus on leadership development, academic competitions, educational programs, membership benefits, community service, awards, and recognition. FBLA-PBL is headquartered in Reston, Virginia, and organized on local, state, and national levels.
Membership in FBLA-PBL allows students access to academic competitions and conferences, such as the National Fall Leadership Conference (NFLC) and the National Leadership Conference (NLC). These programs are designed to help members develop their business leadership, networking, career development, and social skills. Membership also includes local chapter copies of the quarterly publication of Tomorrow’s Business Leader.
FBLA for high school students has over 196,950 national members and more than 5,200 chapters. All Chantilly High School students are invited to join our local chapter of FBLA. Students’ involvement in this co-curricular club allows them to develop skills in teamwork, problem-solving, leadership and communication. Students are also encouraged to explore career pathways through membership and competition.
