Chantilly Work-Based Internship Senior Experience

W.I.S.E.

May 19 to May 29, 2020

Internship Directors: Mr. Jeff Krajic @email & Ms. Laura Totoro @email

Chantilly Seniors have the opportunity to participate in a nine-day, 60-hour unpaid internship at a local business, school, governmental or community organization. Eligibility is based on a combination of GPA, grades, student conduct, attendance and student availability. Participants are expected to attend their internship for the full workday and complete tasks related to the job as assigned by their internship sponsor. Students will interview their internship sponsor and complete a questionnaire about their experience. The internship will conclude with each student presenting about their experience.  Please read the application for details and criteria for the WISE program.

This program has been made possible by a grant from the Foundation for FCPS.

CLASS DUES INFORMATION

Graduation Dues

$110

Each FCPS high school must pay for the cost of all class activities and events culminating with graduation at the end of the senior year. These expenses are fluid and change from year to year. Since quite a few events occur senior year, here is a non-exhaustive list of most of the expenses during the senior year: graduation venue, additional costs of venue (microphones, sound, etc.), printing of programs for convocation and graduation, diploma covers, diplomas, caps/gowns/tassels, senior breakfast, class t-shirt, transportation for band, chorus, orchestra, truck rental for musical equipment, flowers for convocation/graduation, cords and stoles, military recognition, paint and material for senior mural, senior decals and bumper stickers, award medallions, senior slide show expenses, security, and homecoming materials. These are the majority of the costs for the terrific graduations we have each year so that they are a memorable occasion for all.

Payments should be submitted Online through MySchoolBucks (www.myschoolbucks.com) or to Natalie Kiefaber in the Main Office. Please make checks payable to Chantilly High School and write the full legal name of your student and “Class of 2020” on the front of your check.

We are looking forward to a great senior year!
